Understanding the home buying process is a very important part of the process when purchasing a home. As your realtor I will be there every step of the way to guide you and advise you, but you are in control of your destiny and no one can tell you what works best for you. Lets take a look at what the home buying process looks like:
- Call Sheila Jefferson
- Get Pre-Approved
- Let me know your wants in a home
- We visit properties, once you have found the property of your dreams, we put an offer in.
- Once your offer is accepted: You submit your earnest deposit to the title company with in 3 days. (This shows you are serious about purchasing)
- Escrow is opened
- Once escrow is open there are 3 up front cost
- Earnest Deposit ( which is already done) 1%-3%
- Inspection ( varies depending on the type of inspection)
- Appraisal ($500-$800)
- Your down payment will be due at closing this depends on the type of loan you have been pre-approved for conventional 3%-20% - FHA 3.5%
- Closing Cost 1.5%-2% (paperwork prepared by title co.)
- Once escrow closes and the property have recorded at the county in your name the keys will be given to you.
